Preventive dentistry is key to avoiding oral health problems and routine dental cleanings is one of the best preventative care techniques. Kardynal Dental provides regular cleanings for adults and children alongside an oral exam to screen for any signs of dental problems, such as oral cancer and cavities.

A Standard Appointment At Our Office

An Exam at Kardynal

At Karydnal Dental, we believe in comfort as a standard of care and understand that communication, and ease, are key to a dentist visit. With empathy and compassionate professionalism leading the way, here is what a standard visit at Kardynal Dental is like:

Step 1

We go through your medication and health history to be up-to-date on your current medical conditions before discussing anything specific to your dental needs.

Step 2

A head and neck assessment is performed, looking for any abnormalities that require a closer examination.

Step 3

While looking inside the mouth, we perform an oral cancer screening and look for any early indications of it.

Step 4

A gum and tooth assessment is performed, visually and using radiographs (X-rays) to see if there are any internal problems in either.

Step 5

Depending on the care needed following the assessments, a dental cleaning is performed while keeping your comfort as a top priority.

How We Use X-Ray Digital Capture Technology

Radiographs

Radiographs, or X-rays, are a key tool in detecting dental issues like gum disease and cavities. Early detection is essential for both the health of your teeth and gums, but also your wallet. A dental X-ray allows us to see your jawbone, teeth roots, nerves, decay beneath filings, infection, tumors, and other places we're unable to examine visually.

The different types of radiograph technology we use:

Bitewings and Periapical Radiographs

Annually reccommended radiographs to assess health of tooth structure that is not visible to the naked eye.

Panoramic

This X-ray lets us see all the structures in your mouth in a single image, including the Temporomandibular joints, sinuses, supporting bone, all upper and lower teeth, and wisdom teeth.

FMX

You'll most likely have this X-ray every three to five years. It shows us detailed images of each tooth and the surrounding structure and is used with other X-rays to diagnose dental conditions.

3D Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) Scan

A significantly higher detailed 3D image that allows for a multitude of Diagnostic uses involving root canals, implants, tooth fractures, and pathology.

Brighten Your Smile

Teeth Whitening

A smile can dull from all sorts of things, age, tea, coffee, carrots, tannins, and tobacco, among other things. It's no wonder it's the most requested cosmetic dentistry treatment with all the ways your teeth can lose their luster. Professional tooth whitening is the best way to brighten your teeth and help you smile with confidence.

We offer two ways to whiten your teeth, whichever is more convenient for you:

  • In office bleaching, called Opalescence Boost: your teeth whiter in as soon as an hour.

  • Professional Grade take- home bleaching strips, called Opalescence Go. These gradually whiten your teeth and are stronger than commercially available teeth whitening strips.

Benefits of Professional Teeth Whitening

Improved Esthetics: Teeth whitening can help remove stains and discoloration, which can contribute to an increase in confidence and self-image.
Long-lasting results: With the right aftercare, professional teeth whitening can last for years!
Predictability of Results: Over-the-counter teeth whitening products vary widely in ingredients and can have differing levels of results. When a dentist performs teeth whitening, closer oversight can lead to more predictable results.
Quick treatment time: A professional teeth whitening session can be done in as little as an hour and in a single visit making it an easy time commitment and a result you'll be happy with.
