Implant Dentistry

Dental implants are a common replacement option for missing teeth. They can provide support for crowns, bridges, and dentures. An implant tooth can be used as natural teeth would be.

Individual Tooth Implants

Single Implants

A single dental implant can be a solution for a missing tooth, especially if the surrounding teeth are healthy. At Kardynal Dental, we use a 3D CBCT digital scan to ensure proper planning and offer a fully guided implant placement, maximizing safety and assuring proper function of the implant restoration.

Benefits of Single Dental Implants

Highly Versatile: Implants are used to replace a tooth root. They are a more functional alternative to a bridge or removable partial denture
Better Dental Health: A single implant when in proper function can stimulate bone health and prevent bone loss.
They're Realistic: Implants are the closest natural replica of a tooth the currently exits in dentistry.
Normal Maintenance: A dental implant is to be treated, brushed, and flossed like a natural tooth.

Dental Implant Process

01

Digital Scanning

During a typical implant consult, a digital scan and a CBCT X-ray are captured to organize your case information.

02

Design

Your doctors will then design your case behind the scenes for your surgery appointment. This helps surgery day goes as smooth and predictable as possible.

03

Implant Treatment

Your second in-office appointment is the implant placement procedure itself, guided by the plan made from the information collected at your first visit

Multiple missing teeth replacements

Implant Bridges

Unlike traditional bridges which are supported by natural teeth, an implant-supported bridge is supported by the implants. These implants have small threaded posts that replace the teeth' roots and must be fully fused with the jawbone before the bridge can be applied. This procedure is only available when a patient has three or more missing teeth in a row.

Benefits of an Implant-Supported Bridge

No Tooth Alteration: Bridges require shaping existing teeth, whereas an implant bridge doesn't require repairing or shaping natural teeth to be supported.
Prevents Bone Loss: Tooth loss can lead to gum problems and loss of the underlying jawbone, but with an implant-supported bridge the jawbone density can be preserved.
Long-lasting: Dental implants are a long term investment that will be a comfortable, long lasting tooth alternative when the existing tooth is no longer viable.
A Better Smile: Missing teeth can impact a person's confidence, but with a stable and long-lasting bridge, there is no gap in your smile.

Benefits of Snap-on Dentures

No Slipping: The dentures are connected to the implants, with no opportunity for them to slip like traditional dentures.
Natural Look: With advanced technology, dentures can look just like your natural teeth.
Better function: This treatment solution provides for stronger chewing and biting force than traditional dentures.
Prevents Bone Loss: Due to the implants mimicking natural tooth roots, they stimulate bone health and prevent the jaw from losing density.

Implant Retained Overdentures

Similar to the implant-supported bridge, an implant-supported denture replaces several teeth at once and attaches to the jawbone and is retained in the mouth using dental implants. Depending on the type of denture recommended based on your medical history and personal preferences, the dentures can be fixed or removable.

Full Arch Replacement Implants

All-on-X Dental Implants

For patients with severely compromised or missing teeth that can not be corrected with other measures, this implant solution exists. Four to six implants are strategically positioned per arch to ensure proper support and stability, while non removable teeth are screwed into place over the implants.

Benefits of All-on-X Implants

A Second Chance: For patients that have lost or are losing all of their own teeth to dental disease or trauma, this treatment provide an opportunity to return to a strong and healthy mouth.
Immediate Function: A temporary set of teeth is often given on the same day as the treatment.
Restored Habits: When the implants are set, there is immediate improvement in chewing, teeth stability, and overall comfort.
Advanced Treatment Alternative: For patient where no other treatment options have worked or remain, this solution provide an additional chance to achieve normal chewing and function.
